Magdalena Weniger
Magdalena Weniger is a dance creator, performer and singer. Since 2015 she has been producing her own work under the label KOMA&Ko and now works between Freiburg and Dresden. She stands out as a performer due to her large and versatile speaking and singing voice and her physical strength and endurance. She was inspired by collaborations with Marina Abramovic, Tino Sehgal and Constanza Macras, among others. As an educator, she works as a vocal coach and dance educator for Bauhaus Uni Weimar, the European Center for the Arts Dresden Hellerau, among others. As a facilitator she accompanies in 2019-2021 the outreach project "180 Ideas for Saxony" of the Dresden State Art Collections together with the film production company hechtfilm uG. Magdalena is one of the board members of TanzNetzDresden e.V., advisory board member of Tanznetz Freiburg gUG, founding member of Villa Wigman für TANZ e.V. and member of Landesverband der freien Theater Sachsen e.V.. In 2022/23 she took the advanced training course "Curating in the Scenic Arts" at Paris Lodron University Salzburg.
