The core team consists of Magdalena Weniger (artistic director/ Freiburg), Ewelina Kotwa (artistic projectleader/ Freiburg). Bettina Kletzsch (set design/ Dresden), Martin Mulik (lighting design/ Dresden). KOMA&Ko is closely connected with E-WERK Freiburg, HELLERAU - European Center for the Arts, Zentralwerk e.V. Dresden and the dance scenes in Freiburg and Dresden.
KOMA was founded in 2015 by Magdalena Weniger and her Swiss colleague Alena Kundela. Since 2021, KOMA has continued as KOMA&Ko. KOMA&Ko is based in Dresden and Freiburg and operates internationally, staging performances and collaborating with Freiburg/E-WERK, Dresden/HELLERAU, Berlin/ Dock11, Potsdam/fabrik, Mannheim/EinTanzHaus, Ulm/Roxy, Bremen/Schaulust, Cologne/barnescrossing Festival, Bremerhaven/Theater am Hafen, Stuttgart/Theater Rampe and Heusteigfestival, Usti Nad Labem/CZR/Hranicar, St. Gallen/CH/Grabenhalle, Biel/CH/La Voirie, and Winterthur/CH/PERFORM NOW Festival.
