Lecker Lemon
We are inspired by old songs, poems and melodies and put them in a contemporary setting in a cozy atmosphere. Neither living room concert, nor salon: we invite you into a tent. We smell, hear and see each other. A concert in a small, intimate space, where visitors do not sit one after the other on rows of chairs, but make themselves comfortable on carpets and cushions and quickly get to their feet for a round dance. We weave our voices with synth and loop into tapestries of sound from our diverse lives, because we are anything but a uniform mass or homogeneous cultural unit. Our tastes are sweet, sour, salty, bitter, young and old. We are a skyscraper full of living rooms, a fruit basket, a set box, a medley. This evening is a journey through time around a campfire. A performative concert.
"In any case, the performance was always delicious in terms of the surprise effect. At times, the opera singing legend René Kollo was taken for a ride with interview interludes and parodic vocal interludes. Sometimes the talented singers belted out hits from the dusty record shelf, like 'Horch, was kommt von draußen rein' or 'Die Gedanken sind frei'. (...) 'Lecker Lemon' wants to sour your harmonic view of the world. And if you get involved in the lively-creative performance, you actually have to thoroughly question your own perception for once."
